Magnetic Effects of Current (10)

Explain the function of the following parts of an electric motor.

  1. Armature
  2. Brushes
  3. Split ring

Answer

  1. Function of armature: Enhances the power of the motor/ induces motion.
  2. Function of brushes: Helps easy transfer of charge between the coil and the external circuit.
