Why does the sun appear reddish early in the morning ? Will this phenomenon be observed by an astronaut on the Moon ? Give reason to justify your answer.

Answer

In early morning, sun light has to cover larger distance in the atmosphere. So, the shorter wavelengths scatter out. Only the longer wavelengths like red reach our eye.
